Nelson of Concordia FFA Chapter Named State FFA Vice President

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 16, 2026 – During the 98th Missouri FFA Convention, Morgan Nelson was named a 2026-2027 State FFA Vice President. Her parents are Nate and Carie Nelson. Her advisor is Paige Keith.
Nelson is a part of three supervised agricultural experiences that consist of working at a diner, a grocery store and a sheep farm.
She has competed in entomology, floriculture, and agronomy career development events. She also participated in the creed speaking, FFA knowledge and extemporaneous leadership development events. Nelson has served as the chapter president, 1st vice president and chaplain in the Concordia FFA Chapter.
Along with FFA, she has also participated in National Honor Society, drama club, varsity cheerleading, and student council. Additionally, this year Nelson was elected to serve on the Missouri 4-H State Board of Directors as a State Representative.
After high school, Nelson plans to attend College of the Ozarks, where she will major in horticulture and minor in agronomy. After graduation, she plans on pursuing her dream career of owning her own flower shop.
The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
