Neely of Lockwood FFA Chapter Named State FFA Vice President

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 16, 2026 – During the 98th Missouri FFA Convention, Miles Neely was named a 2026-2027 State FFA Vice President. His parents are Jeremy Neely, Angie Whitesell and Joseph Vukcevich. His advisor is Caleb Robertson.
Neely’s supervised agricultural experience consists of raising a herd of registered Brangus cattle, which he shows as well as sells the registered bulls.
He has competed in FFA knowledge, meat evaluation, and extemporaneous speaking and employment skills contests. Additionally, Miles has served two terms as Chapter President and one term as Secretary for the Lockwood FFA Chapter. Currently, he is serving as the Vice President of the Area IX FFA Association.
Along with FFA, he also participates in National Honor Society as the treasurer, senior class treasurer and student council president. Additionally, he has been selected for All-State in football and track several years in a row. Neely has been a part of his local 4-H club since he was eight years old.
After high school, Neely plans to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he will pursue a major in animal science and attend veterinary school. After graduation, he plans to return home to Southwest Missouri and work as a large animal veterinarian.
The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
