Stone of Centralia FFA chapter named State Vice President

COLUMBIA Mo., April 16, 2026 – During the 98th Missouri FFA Convention, Stetson Stone was named 2026-2027 State FFA Vice President. Stone is a member of the Centralia FFA Chapter. His parents are Jeannette and Scott Stone. His advisors are Kendra Smith, Scott Stone and Rylee Williamson.
Stone’s supervised agricultural experience program consists of a small herd of Charolais cattle from which he sells breeding stock and market animals. He is also the owner of Stoney Creek Handyman, where he mows 35 commercial and residential properties. His SAE also consists of working for Angell Thomas Charolais, TD Construction and Country Vets.
Throughout Stone’s FFA career he has served as chapter Sentinel and Vice President of the Centralia FFA Chapter and as the 1st Vice President of the Area 4 FFA Association.
He has participated in creed speaking, extemporaneous speaking and agricultural issues forum. He was also a state competitor in poultry and dairy cattle evaluation. He has also performed in the State FFA Choir and Talent show.
Stetson placed first in the Area IV agricultural mechanics repair and maintenance entrepreneurship proficiency. He was a 2026 graduate of the Missouri Agribusiness Academy and attended the 2024 HYMAX Academy. At the chapter level Stetson has been selected as the Star Greenhand, Star Chapter Agribusinessman, and High Point Member.
Stetson is an active student involved in golf, chamber choir (including All-Conference Choir), orchestra as a bass player, and school musicals. He is also a member of National Honor Society, Key Club, and Science Club, and is also engaged in his church through choir and youth group.
After Highschool he plans to pursue a degree in heavy equipment operations and civil engineering from State Technical College of Missouri. He then plans to return to his small family farm and build his own custom heavy equipment operation business.
The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
