COLUMBIA, Mo., April 16, 2026 – Morgan Leighann Twellman of Troy won the Missouri FFA Swine Production Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award at the 98th Missouri FFA Convention.
Twellman, a senior at Troy Buchanan High School, is the daughter of Adam and Amanda Twellman. Her advisors are Rob Calvin, Matt McCory and Evan Lagemann.

She is responsible for daily care including feeding, health management and facility upkeep, while also making key decisions related to genetics, breeding selection and herd health. Through her operation, she produces and markets pigs to customers across her region while preparing animals for competitive shows.
As an FFA member, Twellman has been actively involved in her chapter and has exhibited livestock at local, state and national shows, including the Missouri State Fair. She has also participated in leadership opportunities and agricultural events while staying involved in school and community activities such as National Honor Society, athletics and agricultural organizations.
After graduation, Twellman plans to attend the University of Kansas and pursue a degree in the medical field with a focus in anesthesia.
Proficiency awards recognize FFA members who excel as agricultural entrepreneurs, employees or volunteers while gaining hands-on career experience. Swine Production Entrepreneurship is one of 46 proficiency award areas recognized at the state level. The Missouri Pork Association sponsored this award.
