Fair Grove FFA dairy cattle team wins state competition

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 16, 2026 – The Fair Grove FFA Chapter won the dairy cattle evaluation career development event at the 98th Missouri FFA Convention. There were 59 teams in the competition.
The team members are Lexi Angelo, Hunter Pritchett, Grey Pritchett, Eron Daugherty. Angelo placed 1st, Pritchett placed 20th, Pritchett placed 27th, and Daugherty placed 119th out of 224 participants. The Fair Grove FFA advisors are Cole Johnston and Makayla Piotrowski.
Individuals in this event are scored based on how well they apply dairy cattle evaluation skills learned in the classroom. Each team evaluates six classes of four dairy cattle and presents oral reasons on their evaluations.
Sponsored by the past State FFA Officers, this CDE is one way the FFA prepares student members for career success. CDEs engage student learning and make a real connection to lifetime goals.
The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
