COLUMBIA, Mo., April 15, 2026 – Wyatt Davis of Alexandria won the Missouri FFA Wildlife Production and Management Proficiency Award at the 98th Missouri FFA Convention.
Davis, a senior at Clark County R-1 High School, is the son of Tim Davis and Robin Davis. He is a member of the Clark County FFA Chapter. His advisors are Dan Oilar and Samantha Behnke.
Davis’ supervised agriculture experience involves working at Missouri Whitetails, where he helps manage a deer operation. His responsibilities include feeding, watering, monitoring herd health, assisting with artificial insemination and breeding practices, administering medications and collecting samples for disease testing such as Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD). He also helps maintain fencing and facilities to meet state inspection standards and assists in preparing deer for transport to hunting ranches.
As an FFA member, Davis has participated in leadership development events and career development events, including agronomy and FFA knowledge and has attended State and National FFA conventions. Outside of FFA, he is involved in basketball, baseball, 4-H and community activities through his local church.
After graduation, Davis plans to attend a technical school to become a lineman while continuing his involvement in agriculture by raising cattle and maintaining row crops.
Proficiency awards recognize FFA members who excel as agricultural entrepreneurs, employees or volunteers while gaining hands-on career experience. Wildlife production and management is one of 46 proficiency award areas recognized at the state level. The Missouri FFA Foundation sponsored this award.
