COLUMBIA, Mo., April 15, 2026 – The Missouri FFA Association recognized Ernie Verslues with the Distinguished Service Citation at the 98th Missouri State FFA Convention. Verslues was honored for his exceptional contribution to agriculture, agricultural education and the Missouri FFA Association.

 

Verslues dedicated several years as the president and chief executive officer for MFA Incorporated, where he was a key driver in supporting Missouri agricultural education and other youth programs. Verslues is a longtime supporter of the Missouri FFA convention and assists in judging speaking leadership development events.  Verslues promoted MFA funding supervised agricultural experience grants and supported funding Missouri Farmers Care for Ag Ed on the Move program.

 

Verslues graduated from Blair Oaks High School. He attended the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

 

Verslues and his wife, Jan, reside in Rocheport. They have three children and five grandchildren.

The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
