Henderson of Warsaw FFA Chapter Named State FFA Vice President

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 16, 2026 – During the 98th Missouri FFA Convention, Brayden Henderson was named a 2026-2027 State FFA Vice President. His parents are Thad and Kristy Henderson. His advisors are Jackie Downing and Amanda Smith.
Henderson’s supervised agricultural experience consists of working on his family’s cattle ranch. Some of his responsibilities include vaccinating cattle, raking hay and managing calving heifers.
He has competed in the creed speaking event and the Missouri Cattleman’s Fall Public Speaking Contest. Henderson has served as chapter president, secretary, and greenhand vice-president of the Warsaw FFA Chapter. Additionally, he has served as Vice President of the Area VIII FFA Association.
Along with FFA, Henderson is student body president, math club president, and a Future Business Leaders of America officer. He was also the team captain of his cross country and basketball teams, as well as a leader of his school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
After high school, Henderson plans to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia and study mechanical engineering. After graduation, Henderson hopes to stay in Missouri to help run his family’s ranch and get a job in the agricultural engineering field.
The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
