Kloos wins Equine Science Entrepreneurship Proficiency

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 17, 2026 – Samantha Kloos of Troy won the Missouri FFA Equine Science – Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award at the 98th Missouri FFA Convention.
Kloos, a senior at Troy High School, is the daughter of Aaron and Laurie Kloos. She is a member of the Troy FFA Chapter. Her advisors are Rob Calvin, Evan Lagemann and Matt McCrory.
Kloos’ supervised agricultural experience involves caring for her horses through feeding and grooming, maintaining and taking care of the facilities, and providing physical exercise for each horse. She also oversees inventory management and budgeting for feed and supplements.
After graduating high school, Kloos plans to continue her SAE by competing in rodeos across Missouri and earning her Professional Rodeo Card to compete internationally. She also plans to move to Texas where she can raise and train colts while also mentoring younger riders.
Proficiency awards recognize FFA members who excel as agricultural entrepreneurs, employees or volunteers while gaining hands-on career experience. Equine Science – Entrepreneurship is one of 45 proficiency award areas recognized at the state level. S&H Farm Supply sponsored this award.
The Missouri FFA has 26,900 members representing 365 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,027,273 members representing 9,235 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
