COLUMBIA, Mo., April 17, 2026—The North Shelby FFA Chapter won the FFA Knowledge leadership development event at the 98th Missouri FFA Convention. There were 52 teams in the competition.

The team members are Toby Copenhaver, Maren Yoder, Scarlet Yoder and Ada Jones. Copenhaver placed first, Maren Yoder placed third, Scarlet Yoder placed sixth and Jones placed 23rd out of 199 participants. The North Shelby FFA advisors are Tim Davis, Jenny Bradley, and Harold Eckler.

Knowledge teams spend hours studying for the 100-question test covering FFA history and information about the National FFA Organization.

Sponsored by Busdieker Farms, this contest is one of many ways the FFA prepares student members for career success. LDEs engage students in learning and make a real connection to lifetime goals.

The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
