Ubaldo of Tipton FFA Chapter named State Star in Agricultural Placement

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 17th, 2026 – The Missouri FFA Association recognized Giovanni Ubaldo of the Tipton FFA Chapter as the state Star in Agricultural Placement at the 98th Missouri FFA Convention. He is the son of Hernan Ubaldo Herrera and

Ana Ubaldo Lemus of Tipton. His advisors are Jason Twenter and Amanda Twenter.

State Stars in Agricultural Placement are selected based on outstanding achievement in work experience in an agricultural business as a part of a student’s supervised agricultural experience program and active participation in FFA. 

American Family Insurance sponsors the 16 Area Star in Agricultural Placement awards and the State Star in Agricultural Placement Award.

Ubaldo’s supervised agriculture experience program began with employment at Hentges farm in poultry production and equipment installation. After four years of employment his responsibilities have grown. From collecting eggs his freshman year to installing complete pullet and layer barns his senior year. He has worked alongside his father at MGH Ubaldo LLC., as a laborer. Ubaldo has worked a substantial number of hours installing electrical, plumbing and control systems in modern poultry barns.

As an FFA member, he has competed on the poultry evaluation career development events and attended the Washington Leadership Conference. Ubaldo has received his Greenhand and Chapter FFA Degrees. Outside of FFA,he plays in the Tipton High School band as a trumpet player. He also throws the shot-put for the track team. Ublado is an active member of St. Andrews Catholic Church.

After high school Ubaldo plans to join his father’s company, MGH Ubaldo LLC., electrical and equipment installation.


The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
