COLUMBIA, Mo., April 16, 2026 – Haley Elizabeth Imhoff of Pilot Grove won the Missouri FFA Beef Production – Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award at the 98th Missouri FFA State Convention.

Imhoff, a sophomore at Northwest Missouri State University and a graduate of Pilot Grove High School, is the daughter of Eric and Cindy Imhoff. She is a member of the Pilot Grove FFA Chapter. Her advisor is MaKalie Lorenz-Townlain.

Imhoff’s supervised agricultural experience centers on her entrepreneurial beef cattle operation, which includes a purebred Charolais herd and commercial cow-calf enterprise. She is responsible for daily livestock care and full herd management, including record keeping, breeding decisions, herd health protocols and genetic selection using artificial insemination and embryo transfer. Imhoff manages over 55 purebred cows, 16 commercial cows, and multiple breeding bulls, while also overseeing calving, vaccinations, nutrition programs, and rotational grazing systems. In addition, she is actively involved in marketing beef products through direct sales, local farmers markets and partnerships with programs such as Missouri Beef for Kids.

Through her SAE, Imhoff has developed advanced skills in herd management, genetic selection, animal health and agricultural business operations. She has gained extensive experience in beef production entrepreneurship while building and expanding a cow-calf operation that contributes to local food systems and community outreach.

Imhoff has been an active FFA member since 2021 and has participated in agricultural education coursework throughout high school. Her experiences in beef production have strengthened her knowledge of livestock genetics and management and reinforced her commitment to a future career in veterinary medicine and bovine reproductive technologies.

Proficiency awards recognize FFA members who excel as agricultural entrepreneurs, employees or volunteers while gaining hands-on career experience. Beef Production – Entrepreneurship is one of the 46 proficiency award areas recognized at the state level. Missouri Cattlemen’s Association sponsored this award.

The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
