COLUMBIA, Mo., April 17, 2026 – Cooper Rohan of Audrian Co. R-VI won the Missouri FFA Landscape Installation Proficiency Award at the 98th Missouri FFA Convention.

Rohan, a senior at Community R-VI High School, is the son of Steve and Carol Rohan. He is a member of the Audrain Co. R-VI FFA Chapter. His advisor is Stacy French.

Rohan’s supervised agricultural experience is in landscaping installation, where he began with basic clean up and smaller hardscaping tasks. As he gained experience, his responsibilities grew to include independently running the skid steer, building border walls, backfilling around houses, and prepare sites for projects. He now works more independently to complete landscape jobs efficiently.

After graduating high school, Rohan plans to enter into the Local 513 Heavy Equipment Operator Training School. He hopes to have long-term employment through Local 513 union jobs operating heavy equipment on jobsites and construction fields.

Proficiency awards recognize FFA members who excel as agricultural entrepreneurs, employees or volunteers while gaining hands-on career experience. Landscape Installation is one of 45 proficiency award areas recognized at the state level. St. Louis Community College (Meremac) Horticulture Programs sponsored this award.
