COLUMBIA, Mo., April 16, 2026 – Jordan Tucker of Buffalo won the Missouri FFA Small Animal Production and Care Proficiency Award at the 98th Missouri FFA Convention.

Tucker, a senior at the Dallas County Technical Center, is the daughter of Wesley and Heather Tucker. Her advisors are Joey Stokes and Dixie Brickey.

Tucker’s supervised agricultural experience program involves the ownership and management of a rabbit production enterprise focused on breeding, raising and marketing high-quality rabbits for show, breeding stock, meat and pets. Her operation includes over 100 rabbits across multiple breeds, where she utilizes genetic selection, daily care and strategic marketing to produce animals that are competitive at shows and desirable to customers nationwide.

As an FFA member, Tucker has exhibited rabbits at local, state and national shows, receiving Best of Group and Reserve Champion titles. She has been an active member of her FFA chapter and has participated in leadership development events and career development events. Outside of FFA, Tucker has served in leadership roles such as the National Honor Society vice president and has been involved in multiple youth and breed-specific organizations.

After graduation, Tucker plans to attend the University of Missouri to major in agricultural education with a minor in animal science. She plans to become an agriculture instructor and FFA advisor while continuing to grow her rabbit production and advocate for diverse opportunities within the agriculture industry.

Proficiency awards recognize FFA members who excel as agricultural entrepreneurs, employees or volunteers while gaining hands-on career experience. Small Animal is one of 46 proficiency award areas recognized at the state level. The Missouri FFA Foundation sponsored this award.

The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
