Zwahlen receives Honorary State FFA Degree

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 25, 2025 – The Missouri FFA Association awarded Craig Michael Zwahlen an Honorary State FFA Degree at the 97th Missouri FFA Convention.
With 26 years of teaching experience in agricultural education and middle school science, Zwahlen has spent the past 11 years in the Blue Springs School District. Known for inspiring students to earn State and American FFA Degrees, pursue teaching careers, and become lifelong advocates for agriculture, Zwahlen is committed to making a lasting impact beyond the classroom. Their program focuses on individual student success, producing multiple areas and state-winning proficiencies. A dedicated professional, they have served in leadership roles at both state and area levels and have been honored as Teacher of the Year in two districts, along with receiving numerous awards throughout their career.
The Missouri FFA Association recognizes Honorary State FFA Degree recipients for their valuable efforts and contributions to the FFA organization and its members. Those eligible to receive the Honorary FFA Degree include farmers, school superintendents, principals, members of the board of education, chapter advisors, teachers, staff members in agricultural education, business professionals and others who are helping to advance agricultural education and the FFA.
The Missouri FFA has 26,900 members representing 365 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,027,273 members representing 9,235 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
