COLUMBIA, Mo., April 24, 2025 – The Elsberry FFA Chapter was recognized for winning the environmental science and natural resources management career development event, at the 97th Missouri FFA Convention.

This event provides students an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in areas that affect our air, soil and water. They work through real-life scenarios to develop a plan to make the best use of natural materials in a specific area.

This event was held this past October and hosted by the Natural Resources Conservation Service. This CDE is one way FFA prepares student members for career success. CDEs engage student learning and make a real connection to career goals.

The Missouri FFA has 26,900 members representing 365 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,027,273 members representing 9,235 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
