Sophia Geppert of North Callaway FFA chapter named State Vice President

COLUMBIA Mo., April 24, 2025 – During the 97th Missouri FFA Convention, Sophia Geppert was named 2025-2026 State FFA Vice President. Geppert is a member of the North Callaway FFA Chapter. Her parents are Doug and Kate Geppert. Her advisors are Katie Robnett and Jarod Womack.
Geppert’s supervised agricultural experience program involves raising registered Holstein heifers, Crossbred Angus cattle, and production swine. She works at a local crop insurance agency called Central Crop Insurance, LLC.
Throughout Geppert’s FFA career she served as chapter President as well as Secretary. She was also the Area IV FFA Association President for 2024-2025. Geppert has competed in fall speaking along with career development events and leadership development event competitions. Her team finished in the top four at state for Entomology, Floriculture, and Farm Management CDE. Gepert placed in the top 15, receiving group 1 rating in each contest. She also got first at the Area IV competition in the FFA Creed Speaking contest and the Young Farmers/Young Farm Wives Fall Speaking competition. Gepert placed second at the State Pork Producers Speaking Competition in 2024 and was the winner of the Missouri State Public Speaking Academy Intermediate Division Contest in 2023.
Geppert was awarded Star Greenhand and Star Farmer. She has also received various proficiency awards. In 2024 Geppert received her State FFA Degree, took part in the National FFA NextGen Ag Communications Conference, and was a delegate to the Missouri Rural Electric Cooperative Youth Tour. She has served as President of student council, President of the Callaway Youth Expo Youth Board, Secretary of National Honor Society, captain of the quiz bowl team, and is involved in Future Business Leaders America. Geppert is the current Vice President of the Missouri Junior Holstein Association and involved with her church.
Geppert’s future plans include attending the University of Missouri-Columbia where she will pursue a degree in agribusiness management. She intends to participate in agriculture at the collegiate level. Later on Geppert hopes to work in marketing for an agricultural company.
The Missouri FFA has 26,900 members representing 365 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,027,273 members representing 9,235 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
