Jenkins of Mount Vernon FFA Chapter named State FFA Vice President

COLUMBIA Mo., April 16, 2026 – During the 98th Missouri FFA Convention, Kiley Jenkins was named a 2026-2027 State FFA Vice President. Her parents are Tyson and Melissa Jenkins. Her advisors are Jay Shepherd, Tristan Dennis and Emma Johnston.

Jenkin’s supervised agricultural experience is her business Cracked Candies. Cracked Candies is a candy business that specializes in making and selling freeze-dried candy.

Jenkins has participated in fall speaking contests including Missouri Farm Bureau in 2024 and in Teach Ag in 2025. Jenkins has also competed at the state level in agronomy, in which she received a gold ranking. Jenkins won the Area XI Agricultural Sales Entrepreneurship Proficiency. She was selected as her chapters Star Greenhand in 2024 and the Chapters Star Agribusiness in 2025. Jenkins won her chapter’s scholarship award in 2025. She was also selected as the Area XI Star Agribusiness in 2026.

Outside of FFA Jenkins has held multiple student council offices including student body vice president. She has also been a part of Mount Vernon’s Show Choir, basketball and Mount Vernon’s 4-H State Grasslands team. Kiley goes to church at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. At church she has served in various spots on her Young Women’s Presidency.

Kiley plans to attend a 4 year college but the exact college is undecided at this point. She does plan to take a break from college at some point to serve a 18 month mission for her church.


The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
