Carter of Audrain County R-VI FFA Chapter Named State FFA 1st Vice President

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 18, 2026 – Lane Carter of the Audrain County R-VI FFA Chapter was named 2026-2027 State FFA 1st Vice President during the 98th Missouri FFA Convention. His parents are Leslie Carter and the late Allan Carter. His advisor is Stacy French.

Carter’s supervised agricultural experience consists of 19 cows that he manages and cares for. Additionally, he rents and manages 90 acres of row-crop land. Carter also works for Montgomery County Livestock Auction LLC and has started his own small auction company, Carter Auction Service.

He has competed in dairy foods, agricultural mechanics, livestock evaluation and agricultural sales career development events. Carter also served as chapter president, treasurer and greenhand president of the Audrain County FFA R-VI FFA Chapter. He also served as the 2025-2026 Area V FFA Association president.

In addition to FFA, Carter participated in National Honor Society, student council, Merry Martins 4-H Club, and as a volunteer firefighter for the Martinsburg Fire District.

After high school, Carter plans to continue managing a cattle and crop operation and his auction business. Additionally, he plans to obtain his real estate licence.


The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
