COLUMBIA, Mo., April 17, 2026 – Larson Hall of Eolia won the Missouri FFA Fiber and/or Oil Crop Production Proficiency Award at the 98th Missouri FFA Convention.

Hall, a senior at Clopton R-III High School, is the son of Robert and Suzanne Hall. He is a member of the Clopton FFA Chapter. His advisor is Kaylee Conderman.

Hall’s supervised agricultural experience involves working for Hall farms in the spring planting season, throughout the summer growing period, and during fall harvest. He also maintains and operates large machinery for this job. He also helps oversee the calibration and updating of precision equipment such as GPS systems to help with accuracy.

After graduating high school, Hall plans to obtain his Diesel Mechanics Certificate from Pike-Lincoln Technical Center and increase his responsibilities while working alongside his father at Hall Farms. In the future he plans to expand his experiences and has a long-term goal of purchasing an ownership interest in the farm and continuing to expand the business.

Proficiency awards recognize FFA members who excel as agricultural entrepreneurs, employees or volunteers while gaining hands-on career experience. Fiber and/or Oil Crop Production is one of 45 proficiency award areas recognized at the state level. The Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council sponsored this award.

The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
