COLUMBIA, Mo., April 17, 2026 – The Missouri FFA Association named Nancy Wilkerson, an Honorary State FFA Degree recipient at the 98th Missouri FFA Convention.

 

Wilkerson became a member of Paris FFA in 1974 and earned her State Degree in 1979. She was also a member of the National FFA Chorus in 1976.

 

For the past 40 years, Wilkerson has served FFA as a volunteer judge, evaluating local, area, district and state contests. The contests she has helped judge include: Agricultural Sales, Agricultural Issues Forum, Conduct of Meetings, Record Books, Speeches, both prepared and Extemporaneous, Creed, Food Science and Proficiency applications.

 

Additionally, Wilkerson serves as a State FFA Convention workshop presenter. During this service project, Wilkerson produced more than 300 jump ropes in six hours and provided hours of community service to members.

 

Outside of FFA, Wilkerson continues to serve those around her, working as a Bookkeeper for Wilkerson Bros, Quarry Inc. She plans to retire from this position in the following months.

 

The Missouri FFA Association recognizes Honorary State FFA Degree recipients for their valuable efforts and contributions to the FFA organization and its members. Those eligible to receive the Honorary FFA Degree include farmers, school superintendents, principals, members of the board of education, chapter advisors, teachers, staff members in agricultural education, business professionals, and others who are helping to advance agricultural education and the FFA.

The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
