COLUMBIA, Mo., April 16, 2026 – The Republic FFA Chapter was recognized at the 98th Missouri FFA Convention as the recipient of the Soy Innovation Challenge Scholarship. The chapter advisors are Kaylee Lower, Taya Henry and Duane Melton.
Hosted and sponsored by the Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council, the Soy Innovation Challenge engages FFA members in developing innovative exhibits and ideas centered around the soy value chain for display at Missouri Soybeans’ Center for Soy Innovation in Jefferson City.
The competition consists of two parts, where participating chapters design and develop an exhibit for the Center for Soy Innovation and submit proposals for consideration. The top four chapters advanced to Jefferson City to present their projects to a panel of judges.
For their first-place finish, the Republic FFA Chapter was awarded a $10,000 scholarship for their exhibit.
The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
