COLUMBIA, Mo., April 16th, 2026 – The Liberal FFA Chapter was recognized for winning the agricultural communications career development event at the 98th Missouri FFA Convention.

During the event, teams work together to complete a communications plan, including the following practicum areas of social media planning, feature story article, magazine layout and a broadcast video. Every team member also participates in a writing mechanics quiz.

Hosted by Missouri State University’s Darr College of Agriculture; School of Hospitality and Agricultural Leadership, this CDE is one way FFA can prepare members for career success. CDEs engage student learning and help to create practical connections to career goals. Copy-Rite Printing sponsored this event.

The Missouri FFA has 27,000 members representing 369 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,042,245 members representing 9,407 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
