COLUMBIA, Mo., April 24, 2025 – The North Shelby FFA Chapter received a Soy Innovation Challenge Scholarship at the 97th Missouri FFA Convention. The North Shelby FFA advisors are Tim Davis, Jenny Bradley, and Harold Eckler. The Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council hosted this challenge and sponsored the scholarship.

The Soy Innovation Challenge aims to engage FFA members in creating valuable exhibits and ideas based on the soy value chain to display at Missouri Soybeans’ Center for Soy Innovation in Jefferson City.

The Soy Innovation Challenge is a two-part contest where chapters designed and developed an exhibit for the Center for Soy Innovation and submitted proposals for Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council to consider. The top four chapters traveled to the state’s capital to present to a panel of judges. The North Shelby FFA Chapter received a $2,500 scholarship for their first place exhibit.

The Missouri FFA has 26,900 members representing 365 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,027,273 members representing 9,235 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
