Britton of Cuba FFA Chapter Named to Missouri FFA Leadership, Continues Agricultural Communications Journey

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 24 2024 – During the 97th Missouri FFA Convention, Cierra Britton was named a 2025-2026 State FFA Vice President. Her parents are DJ and Judy Britton. Britton’s advisors are Katelynn Davalos and Alexis Treece.
Britton’s supervised agricultural experience program includes raising Angus and Maintainer market steers to sell at the Crawford County Fair. She also gains real-world experience through her placement as a barista at Scooter’s Coffee, preparing beverages and food items for customers.
Britton has held several leadership roles in FFA, including Greenhand 1st Vice President, Chapter Assistant Reporter, Secretary, and President of the Cuba FFA Chapter. She also served as the Area XIV FFA Association President, showcasing her commitment to agricultural leadership at both the chapter and area levels.
Her involvement in FFA extends to competitive events such as Horse Evaluation and FFA Knowledge, where she has qualified for state competitions. She placed first in the Young Farmer/Young Farm Wives fall speech competition at the area level and is currently active in Livestock Evaluation and Farm Management events. Her passion for agricultural education earned her an Area Proficiency Award and a spot in both the 2023 Missouri Agribusiness Academy and the 2024 HYPE Academy.
Britton’s leadership shines beyond FFA. She has served as Junior and Senior Class President, Vice President of National Honor Society, Student Representative to the Board of Education, and captain of the dance team. She’s been involved in volleyball, Key Club, and the Final Drive 4-H Club, where she held roles such as Fundraising Chair, Junior Beef Leader, and Club President. She also represents her school and community as a Missouri Beef Kids Academy Ambassador and FFA in the USA Reporter.
This fall, Britton will attend Missouri State University, majoring in agriculture communications. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career as a communications manager for the Missouri FFA Organization or the Missouri Department of Agriculture. She also plans to remain active in production agriculture by maintaining a small herd of Angus cattle.
With her diverse experiences, strong leadership, and passion for agriculture, Cierra Britton continues to be a role model for youth in agriculture across Missouri and beyond.
The Missouri FFA has 26,900 members representing 365 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,027,273 members representing 9,235 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
