COLUMBIA, Mo., April 25, 2025 – The Missouri FFA Association awarded Jan Skouby an Honorary State FFA Degree at the 97th Missouri FFA Convention.

Skouby’s affiliation with FFA began in the 1970s as a student in St. James, MO. She had the opportunity to become very involved with her kids in the 1990s and early 2000s as they both achieved their American FFA Degree. She is blessed to work with not just her grandkids but other students in various FFA chapters to develop their projects and lives through FFA. From editing speeches to parking cars, from contests, county fairs to baking cookies, it is a wonderful and rewarding experience to see these students excel and become leaders of the future.

The Missouri FFA Association recognizes Honorary State FFA Degree recipients for their valuable efforts and contributions to the FFA organization and its members. Those eligible to receive the Honorary FFA Degree include farmers, school superintendents, principals, members of the board of education, chapter advisors, teachers, staff members in agricultural education, business professionals and others who are helping to advance agricultural education and the FFA.

The Missouri FFA has 26,900 members representing 365 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,027,273 members representing 9,235 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
