COLUMBIA, Mo., April 24, 2025 – The Eldon FFA Chapter was recognized for winning the veterinary science career development event at the 97th Missouri FFA Convention.

Veterinary science teams participate in a written exam, critical-thinking scenario questions, identification and hands-on practicums to display their skills in small and large animal veterinary medicine.

Held this past February and hosted by Crowder College, this CDE is one way FFA prepares student members for career success. CDEs engage student learning and make a real connection to career goals.

The Missouri FFA has 26,900 members representing 365 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,027,273 members representing 9,235 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
