Elsberry FFA agronomy team wins state competition

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 23, 2025 – The Elsberry FFA Chapter won the agronomy career development event at the 97th Missouri FFA Convention. There were 60 teams in the competition.
The team members are Ella Koch, Addie Barber, Will Watts, and Maegan Seely. Koch placed 1st, Barber placed 3rd, Watts placed 7th and Seely placed 9th out of 231 participants. The Elsberry FFA advisors are Sarah Ray and Jason Vandivort.
Individuals in this contest evaluate crop production and factors that influence the quality of seed and forage crops.
Sponsored by Bunge, this contest is one way FFA prepares student members for career success. CDEs engage students in learning and make a real connection to lifetime goals.
The Missouri FFA has 26,900 members representing 365 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,027,273 members representing 9,235 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
