Versailles FFA agricultural communications team wins state competition

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 24, 2025 – The Versailles FFA Chapter was recognized for winning the Agricultural Communications career development event at the 97th Missouri FFA Convention.

During the event, teams work together to complete a communications plan, including the following practicum areas of social media planning, feature story article, magazine layout, and a broadcast video. Every team member also participates in a writing mechanics quiz.

Hosted by Missouri State University’s Darr College of Agriculture; School of Hospitality and Agricultural Leadership, this CDE is one way FFA can prepare members for career success. CDEs engage student learning and help to create practical connections to career goals. Bunge sponsored this event.

The Missouri FFA has 26,900 members representing 365 chapters. The national organization has more than 1,027,273 members representing 9,235 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
