Wehmeyer of Columbia FFA Chapter named Missouri State FFA Vice President

COLUMBIA Mo., April 19, 2024 – During the 96th Missouri FFA Convention, Madilynn Wehmeyer was named a 2024-2025 State FFA Vice President. Wehmeyer is a member of the Columbia FFA chapter. Her parents are Jerod and Abby Wehmeyer. Her advisors are Austin Dehaven and Jacob Rahmer.

Wehmeyer’s supervised agriculture experience consists of a custom feeding business raising hogs to market weight for local customers, selling eggs from her laying hens to people in her community, and working at Midway Golf and Games where she helps maintain the plants and landscapes.

She has competed in Agriculture Communications where she placed first individually at state and was rated a silver individual at the national level. Wehmeyer has also competed in leadership development events such as Advanced Prepared Public Speaking, where she placed first in her area, second at districts, and advanced to the state level.

In addition to FFA, Wehmeyer is active in her Community Service Club, Huntsdale Baptist Church, and collected donations for Operation Christmas Child, which gives to children in need worldwide. She has also maintained a 3.97 GPA throughout high school.

After graduating high school, Wehmeyer plans to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she will study agriculture education. 

The Missouri FFA has 26,830 members representing 362 chapters. The national organization has more than 945,000 members representing 9,163 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
