Voss named state winner in agricultural sales placement proficiency award area

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 18, 2024 – Nicholas Patrick Voss of Union won the Missouri FFA Agricultural Sales Placement Proficiency Award at the 96th Missouri FFA Convention.
Voss, a senior at Union High School, is the son of Stanley and Jennifer Voss. He is a member of the Union FFA Chapter. His advisors are Danielle Blair and Josh Roehrs.
Voss’ supervised agricultural experience program involves employment at O’Reilly Auto Parts. His responsibilities include helping farmers, truck drivers, and laborers find replacement parts for agricultural equipment.
As an FFA member, Voss has attended the Maries County Shooting and Safety Day and Franklin County Farmfest. In addition to FFA, Voss is a Certified Parts Professional and volunteers with multiple community organizations.
After graduating high school, Voss plans to attend the State Technical College of Missouri to learn more about automotive repair. He aspires to be a store manager at O’Reilly Parts.
Proficiency awards recognize FFA members who excel as agricultural entrepreneurs, employees or volunteers while gaining hands-on career experience. Agricultural Sales Placement is one of 46 proficiency award areas recognized at the state level. BTC Bank sponsored this award.
The Missouri FFA has 26,830 members representing 362 chapters. The national organization has more than 945,000 members representing 9,163 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
