COLUMBIA, Mo., April 17, 2024 – The Missouri FFA Association recognized Joyce Cutright with the Distinguished Service Citation at the 96th Missouri State FFA Convention. Cutright was honored for her outstanding service to agriculture, agricultural education and the Missouri FFA Association.
Cutright dedicated 32 years to working in the Missouri FFA media room. She has written thousands of press releases and worked with media outlets to highlight Missouri FFA Members. During her time in the media room, Cutright also provided hands-on experiential learning opportunities for college students at convention.
Cutright grew up near Greenup, Illinois, and graduated from Casey High School. She went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications with an emphasis in advertising and marketing at the University of Illinois.
Cutright utilized her degree in multiple facets of agriculture, including farm broadcasting, at the Greene County Soil and Water Conservation District, and at the Ozark Empire Fair. She went on to be a per-course instructor at Missouri State University in the agricultural communications program.
Cutright currently resides in Springfield, Missouri, with her husband JT and dog Charity where she enjoys going antiquing and crafting.
The Missouri FFA has 26,830 members representing 362 chapters. The national organization has more than 945,000 members representing 9,163 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
