McIntyre of Belton FFA Chapter named State FFA Vice President

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 20, 2023 – During the 95th Missouri FFA Convention, Colin McIntyre was named a 2023-2024 State FFA Vice President. McIntyre is a member of the Belton FFA Chapter. His advisor is Cydnee Regers.

McIntyre’s supervised agricultural experience program consists of raising beef cattle with his family on their cow-calf pair operation and raising show cattle. In addition, his agricultural communications project involves operating his own photography business, Barbed Co. McIntyre also has a food service project through his employment at Cracker Barrel.

During his FFA career, McIntyre has served as the chapter reporter, vice president, and president. He also served the Area 7 Association as secretary.

McIntyre has competed in the nursery/landscape, forestry, agricultural sales, and floriculture career development events. He was also named the Area 7 Association agricultural communications proficiency award winner. McIntyre also participated in the Public Speaking Academy where he received an award for placing in the top six.

In addition to FFA, McIntyre serves as the chapter president and region 14 vice president of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. He is also involved in the Principal’s Advisory, where he is a voice for students in weekly Belton School Board meetings.

After graduating high school, McIntyre plans to attend Missouri State University to study agriculture education with a minor in agricultural communications. He hopes to become an agriculture teacher and be an advocate for the industry.

The Missouri FFA has 26,716 members representing 356 chapters. The national organization has more than 850,000 members representing 8,995 chapters in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
