Howell receives Honorary State FFA Degree
COLUMBIA, Mo., April 21, 2023 – The Missouri FFA Association named Taylor Howell, New Bloomfield, an Honorary State FFA Degree recipient at the 95th Missouri FFA Convention.
Howell is currently an vocational agriculture instructor at Columbia Public Schools; a position that she has held since 2020. Before then she was the sole agriculture teacher for four years at Higbee Public Schools. She joined FFA her senior year of high school. She pursued her agricultural education degree at the University of Missouri – Columbia and was heavily involved in organizations related to agriculture and FFA.
The Missouri FFA Association recognizes Honorary State FFA Degree recipients for their valuable efforts and contributions to the FFA organization and its members. Those eligible to receive the Honorary FFA Degree include farmers, school superintendents, principals, members of the board of education, chapter advisors, teachers, staff members in agricultural education, business professionals and others who are helping to advance agricultural education and the FFA.
The Missouri FFA has 26,716 members representing 356 chapters. The national organization has more than 850,000 members representing 8,995 chapters in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
