Daubert receives Honorary State FFA Degree

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 21, 2023 – The Missouri FFA Association named Christopher Daubert, Columbia, an Honorary State FFA Degree recipient at the 95th Missouri FFA Convention.

Daubert is the vice chancellor and dean of the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) at University of Missouri. He is also a professor in the division of food, nutrition and exercise sciences. Daubert previously served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Texture Studies, on the editorial board of the Journal of Food Process Engineering, and on the editorial committee of the Annual Review of Food Science and Technology.

As a longtime FFA supporter, Daubert places a lot of importance on supporting FFA programs. Today, Daubert is an FFA supporter through sponsorships at state conventions. He has also assisted and spoke at various events hosted by the Missouri FFA Association.

The Missouri FFA Association recognizes Honorary State FFA Degree recipients for their valuable efforts and contributions to the FFA organization and its members. Those eligible to receive the Honorary FFA Degree include farmers, school superintendents, principals, members of the board of education, chapter advisors, teachers, staff members in agricultural education, business professionals and others who are helping to advance agricultural education and the FFA.

The Missouri FFA has 26,716 members representing 356 chapters. The national organization has more than 850,000 members representing 8,995 chapters in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
