Bruton of the Union FFA Chapter named Area 14 Star in Placement
COLUMBIA, Mo., April 22, 2022 – The Missouri FFA Association recognized Danny Bruton of the Union FFA Chapter as the Area 14 Star in Placement at the 94th Missouri FFA Convention. His parents are Bob Bruton and Michelle O’Connor. His advisors are Josh Roehrs, Katelynn Priest and Danelle Blair.
Area Stars in Placement are selected based upon outstanding achievement in work experience in an agricultural business as a part of a student’s supervised agricultural experience program and active participation in FFA. Area 14 includes 25 chapters in the South Central District.
MFA Inc., Columbia, sponsors the 16 area Star in Placement awards and the State Star in Placement Award.
Bruton’s SAE began at O’Reilly Auto Parts. He assists local farmers and ranchers who need help finding parts for equipment. Bruton performs management duties including scheduling employees, handling money and supervising tasks. He also works for a construction company that builds agricultural buildings such as hay barns, pole barns, and farm shops. His responsibilities include grading, pouring concrete, building walls, setting trusses, and installing tin and trim. In the last three years, Bruton started his own hay business and has grown from two acres to over 70.
The Missouri FFA has 25,626 members representing 353 chapters. The national organization has more than 735,000 members representing 8,817 chapters in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
