COLUMBIA, Mo., April 22, 2022 -The Missouri FFA Association recognized Ally Rose Golian of the Diamond FFA Chapter as the Area 11 Star Farmer at the 94th Missouri FFA Convention. Her parents are Andrew and Angie Golian of Sarcoxie. Her advisors are Maura Renfro and Brian Nelson.

Area Star Farmers are chosen based upon outstanding production agriculture in the student’s supervised agricultural experience program and active participation in FFA. Area 11 includes 17 chapters in the Southwest District.

MFA, Inc., Columbia, sponsors the 16 area Star Farmer awards and the State Star Farmer Award.

Golian’s supervised agricultural experience consists of diversified livestock production. She raises and sells performance quarter horses, raises and shows cattle, and raises and sells miniature Australian Shepherds. Golian is not only responsible for making sure the vaccinations of her dogs are up to date, but also keeping up with medications and shots for her horses. The everyday health of the cattle, horses and dogs are her main priority along with cleanliness of their areas.

Golian currently serves as chapter president and Area 11 reporter, and previously served as chapter historian and vice president.

After graduating high school, Golian plans on attending Missouri State University, Springfield, to study agricultural education. Upon graduating, she plans on becoming an ag teacher to give her students the opportunities that FFA and her ag teachers gave her.

The Missouri FFA has 25,626 members representing 353 chapters. The national organization has more than 735,000 members representing 8,817 chapters in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
