COLUMBIA, Mo., April 22, 2022 – The Missouri FFA Association named Jessica Dobrzenski, Saint Catharine, an Honorary State FFA Degree recipient at the 94th Missouri FFA Convention.

Dobrzenski serves as the agriculture educator and advisor for the Brookfield FFA Chapter. In this role, Dobrzenski has served in various leadership positions including the area president and district treasurer. She also serves on the Missouri FFA Camp committee and the State Degree committee. Dobrzenski has taught numerous State FFA Degree and American FFA Degree recipients, coached nationally ranked agriscience fair and job interview contestants, and received 10 State Superior Chapter awards.  She has assisted five students in winning a state proficiency award for their supervised agricultural experience (SAE) programs. She has also had one State FFA Officer, eight Area FFA Officers and earned a National Three Star Rating four times throughout her career.

Dobrzenski was not active in FFA throughout high school due to her alma mater not offering the organization. She stated that 4-H was where she found her love for agriculture through showing cattle and poultry and serving as a junior leader. Dobrzenski decided to teach agriculture to share her passion for the industry with younger generations.

The Missouri FFA Association recognizes Honorary State FFA Degree recipients for their valuable efforts and contributions to the FFA organization and its members. Those eligible to receive the Honorary FFA Degree include farmers, school superintendents, principals, members of the board of education, chapter advisors, teachers, staff members in agricultural education, business professionals and others who are helping to advance agricultural education and the FFA.

The Missouri FFA has 25,626 members representing 353 chapters. The national organization has more than 735,000 members representing 8,817 chapters in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
