Fischer receives Honorary State FFA Degree
SEDALIA, Mo., April 30, 2021 – The Missouri FFA Association named Curtis Fischer, Jefferson City, an Honorary State FFA Degree recipient at the 93rd Missouri FFA Convention.
Fischer is the assistant vice president/loan officer at FCS Financial. Through his work, he supports FFA by sponsoring events for several chapters, helping students with supervised agricultural experience programs through Shaping Rural Missouri Grants and the Ag Youth Program.
Fischer was a member of the Van-Far FFA Chapter. He served as chapter president and treasurer. He was a recipient of the State FFA Degree and American FFA Degree. Fischer continues to support local FFA chapters by serving as a career development event judge at local, area, and district levels. He also judges the state proficiency awards. In 2019, Fischer received a Russellville Honorary Chapter FFA Degree.
The Missouri FFA Association recognizes Honorary State FFA Degree recipients for their valuable efforts and contributions to the FFA organization and its members. Those eligible to receive the Honorary FFA Degree include farmers, school superintendents, principals, members of the board of education, chapter advisors, teachers, staff members in agricultural education, business professionals and others who are helping to advance agricultural education and the FFA.
The Missouri FFA has 25,662 members representing 351 chapters. The national organization has more than 760,000 members representing 8,739 chapters in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
