Audrain Co. R-VI FFA agricultural sales team wins state competition
SEDALIA, Mo., April 30, 2021 – The Audrain Co. R-VI FFA Chapter won the agricultural sales career development event at the 93rd Missouri FFA Convention. There were 16 teams in the competition.
The team members include Emily Hoyt, Landon Wright, Brooklynn Glassgow and Justin Duenke. Hoyt placed third, Wright placed fifth, Glassgow placed 17th and Duenke placed 21st out of 56 participants. The Audrain Co. R-VI FFA advisors are Britton Francis and Stacy French.
Entries include an individual sales presentation and team sales situation for an agricultural product. Competitors also are asked to demonstrate their ability to relate to customers, prospect for customers and carry out promotions. These students can successfully apply classroom learning to real-life situations.
Sponsored by University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, this CDE is one way the FFA prepares student members for career success. CDEs engage student learning and make a real connection to lifetime goals.
The Missouri FFA has 25,662 members representing 351 chapters. The national organization has more than 760,000 members representing 8,739 chapters in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
