Hollister FFA agronomy team wins state competition
SEDALIA, Mo., April 30, 2021 – The Hollister FFA Chapter won the agronomy career development event at the 93rd Missouri FFA Convention. There were 24 teams in the competition.
The team members include Brayden Dennis, Ian Frazier, Keely Harvey and Kenneth Ball. Dennis was named top individual, Frazier placed fourth, Harvey placed fifth and Ball placed 16th out of 84 participants. The Hollister FFA advisors are Matt Hart and Quaid Taylor.
Individuals in this contest evaluate crop production and factors that influence the quality of seed and forage crops.
Sponsored by University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, this contest is one way FFA prepares student members for career success. CDEs engage students in learning and make a real connection to lifetime goals.
The Missouri FFA has 25,662 members representing 351 chapters. The national organization has more than 760,000 members representing 8,739 chapters in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
